Three pillars, one point of contact

Three moments in the life of an industrial company

Becoming more efficient, bringing in or deploying skills internationally, preparing for succession. For each moment, a dedicated pillar.

  1. Correct the course

    Transform

    01 · Business Transformation

The model: margin is not keeping pace with the order book.

“Our order book is full, but we’re not making money on it.”

Margin per contract, price structure, key-account negotiation, organisational transformation built to last.

  2. Enable mobility

    Deploy

    02 · Business Mobility

The team: the key profile is not in your country.

“I’ve been looking for an automation engineer for fourteen months.”

Bringing in foreign talent, posting an employee abroad, securing compliance, with a partner lawyer handling the legal side.

  3. Hand over the controls

    Hand over

    03 · Business Transmission

The owner: everything rests on the managing director.

“I am the company. If I leave, the customers leave.”

Making the business saleable 12 to 24 months before the sale, then securing the buyer’s first 100 days.

How it works

Three steps, a written deliverable at each

Flight protocol applied to a consulting assignment: prepare, check, decide, debrief.

01 BRIEFING

45-minute conversation

Week 0 · free of charge

Your situation, the figures you have, what is holding you back. We tell you whether we can help, and if not, who to turn to.

You receive: a one-page written note within 2 working days.
02 CHECKLIST

Diagnostic

4 to 5 days over 3 to 4 weeks

Interviews, data analysis, information gathered against the same checklist for every client. Debrief to the managing director or the executive committee.

You receive: a report, a costed action plan and a go / no-go decision.
03 EXECUTION

Assignment and follow-up

90 days to 24 months

We stay on through implementation: a sprint, a programme or a monthly seat at the executive committee, with scheduled steering reviews.

You receive: a dashboard and a written debrief at each milestone.

Who we are

Two careers, one common ground: supporting companies as they evolve

Our vision

To endure, an industrial company has to keep reinventing itself: changing its model, developing its team, passing on its ownership. At each of these stages, the leader needs support from someone who knows industry from the inside and stays alongside them throughout implementation.

“I held the job before I advised on it.”

Why Kupka Horizon

An industry practitioner, not an analyst

Six reasons to entrust your margins, your organisation or your succession to someone who comes from the inside.

01We have done the job

A customer P&L to defend, contracts signed, milestones met, overruns absorbed. Up to €30M in portfolio.

02Both sides of the table

A supplier under pressure, then a negotiator facing the prime contractor. We know what the other side can concede.

0315 industrial sectors

From qualified defence programmes to consumer audio: we know which price structure holds at volume, and which holds through qualification.

04Margin before revenue

Margin points on the existing order book: measurable, and quantifiable as a return on investment from the very first meeting.

05A cockpit method

Briefing, checklist, go/no-go, written debrief. A repeatable, comparable diagnostic, not an impression.

06A single point of contact

Transform, deploy, hand over: the same perspective on your company, whatever stage it is going through.

What we don’t do

Knowing where our assignment ends is part of the assignment

  • No sale mandate. No buyer search, no commission on the transaction: we have no interest in your company being sold, only in it being worth more.
  • No recruitment. We do not source candidates: we make their arrival possible and their integration solid.
  • No accounting services or certified valuation. We prepare what the chartered accountant and the buyer will audit.

Frequently asked questions

Before you book

How much does an engagement cost?

Every assignment starts with a fixed-fee diagnostic of €5,200 to €6,500 excl. VAT, at the prices shown above. Follow-on assignments (margin sprint, reorganisation, exit preparation, 100-day plan) are covered by a written proposal, either fixed-fee or as a monthly retainer with a six-month commitment.

Why a 5-day diagnostic rather than a one-day audit?

Because they are not the same product. A one-day audit gives you a snapshot. The diagnostic analyses margin contract by contract and customer by customer, ends with a debrief to the managing director and delivers a costed, sequenced action plan, ready to execute.

Can the diagnostic be funded?

The Margin & Pricing, Organisation and Mobility diagnostics may be eligible for the Pays de la Loire Conseil scheme, which covers 30% of the fee for SMEs based in the Pays de la Loire region and over two years old. The application must be filed before the engagement starts: we prepare it together. The saleability diagnostic is not eligible.

Will my data remain confidential?

Yes. A non-disclosure agreement is signed before any financial data is exchanged. No client is named without written permission.

Where we work

Based in Nantes, Kupka Horizon works primarily in the Pays de la Loire and Brittany regions, and anywhere in France and internationally on request. Meetings can be held in English.
